Guard Duty Timer is intended to ensure that a guard checks on a location by counting down from a set cycle. Once the cycle is started by pressing the green button, the cycle continues indefinitely. On a round of duty the guard will press the button before the set time has elapsed, which will reset the cycle to the set time. If the cycle is not reset and the timer counts down to zero, an alarm is given by the flashing blue beacon light and buzzer. (the buzzer can be disabled) The display continues to count up so the overrun time is evident.
Tamperproof Circuitry. If an attempt is made to hold down the button permanently (such as by paperclip or tape, etc.) the unit will detect this and give an alarm.
Uses any power available, usually 120VAC power. Power cord is 10 ft rubber jacket. Display is backlit in blue when connected to line power.
Setting the Display
Only three buttons makes setting the time easy: time up, time down, and start. Hold down and the digits increment faster.
Two time ranges: 1 second to 100 mins, or 1 hour to 100 hours.
The buzzer chirps when the button is pressed to provide confirmation to the guard that the time has been reset. However if discreet operation is desired a muffler can be snapped on to reduce the volume, or the it can be disconnected if no sound is preferred.
T8 timer has a piggyback plug to control devices like pumps. Beacon LED color is red.
T8-Guard has a standard AC cord and blue color LED.
