The Drum Suction Pipe, pickup tube, or draw tube, is the best way to extract chemicals from drums. 

PROBLEMS WITH PLASTIC TUBING…

A common way to draw chemicals from drum is to run a plastic tube connected to a dosing pump into the drum invariably leads to problems such as the tubing not reaching down to the liquid, cracking and leaking air. Of course you get no warning when this happens. 

A BETTER WAY TO FEED CHEMICALS

The Drum Suction pipe solves all of these problems:

  • The rigid polypropylene pipe can be adjusted so it always reaches the bottom of your drum for perfect flow without pumps becoming air locked.
  • Drums are pumped out nearly completely which will reducing wasted residual chemical.
  • There is a built-in suction screen to keep particles/debris/crystals out of your pump. This screen is replaceable.
  • Included compression fitting accommodates any tubing size.
  • Optional acrylic flow indicator lets you conveniently monitor the flow.
  • Optional check valve installs easily.

CHOICE OF THREAD

The suction pipes can mount on any drum.  The fine thread that you find on every drum is 2″ NPS.  The coarse thread is 2″ Buttress which has only 1.5 threads per inch.  Buttress requires fewer turns to tighten in place but is not as universal.  further discussion on drum threads here.

Check Valve
