The standard relay in most Gizmo Engineering products is rated for a 15A load.  For applications where this is not enough, this 30A relay can control high power devices.  The relay switches two phases independently for 240VAC installations.

For the process timing, this will necessitate the T6 timer to accommodate the larger relay.  The T5 timer with its 5″x5″ enclosure doesn’t have sufficient room. The T6 timer has a larger 6″x6″ enclosure. 

The relay option is added to the T6 timer with part number “RLY30”. (so T6-S2 + RLY-30A for example)

To determine what a motor’s maximum current load is, you will need to know the “locked rotor” amps.  It should be on the motor nameplate. Otherwise you can measure it with a clamp-on ampmeter.  Or use the calculator on this page.
