Battery Power (AB-1)

AC Power + Relay (AB-2)

9V battery. N.O. alarms when contact closed.

Like AB-1 but has additional behaviors + relay.

Line power (120VAC) with 15A relay.

Like AB-5 for Hazardous Locations. Class 1, Div. I.

If it needs to alarm we can probably do it!

Alarm annunciator boxes for many needs.  Battery powered or line powered. All alarm annunciator boxes are triggered by an external switch such as:

  • level switches
  • position switches
  • inductive proximity sensors
  • capacitive sensors
  • tilt switches
  • magnetic switches

Basically any kind of electrical contact close or contact open can be converted to an alarm. We combine this with our proprietary circuit board to provide different behaviors such as the “snooze alarm” which causes the annunciator to sound again in 30 minutes. This behavior is user-selectable in the field.

The alarm annunciator we generally use is a 103dB warbling buzzer powered by DC voltage.  However, we can also use louder or quieter buzzers.  The typical annunciation is to have the buzzer and a flashing LED energize at the time of an alarm. Obviously one doesn’t want a screaming siren sounding non-stop, so there is a button to silence the buzzer. The behavior we prefer is to have the sounder sound again after 30 minutes as a reminder that there is still an alarm condition.

We also make custom alarm boxes to suit any challenge. PVC enclosures are our favorite due to low cost, ruggedness, corrosion resistance but we also stock many metal enclosures.

Annunciator volumes range from 80dB to 115dB at 2 feet distance. Our favored buzzer is the 103dB warble but we stock several other tones.
