Guard duty timer is a special variation that is used for routine monitoring. If something needs to be checked on a schedule, or for pacing of production operators, this will sound an alarm if it is not checked. Time can be set up to 99: 99 (hrs/mins).

OPERATION

Once the timer is started by pressing the front green button, the timer counts down. It must be reset before the count reaches zero or an alarm is given. When an operator presses the button, it resets the time with a single button press.  The time may be reset any time before the end of the countdown.  The timing is shut off with a keyswitch.

The button cannot be taped down or otherwise jammed – the timer will alarm. The only way to stop the countdown, and consequent alarm, is to press the button regularly. 

VARIATIONS

The T5G can be either battery powered or line powered. (specify in the notes field when ordering) Something to keep in mind is that a power cord an be unplugged which defeats the purpose of the timer, so we will provide a blunt-cut cord ready for hard-wiring if this is selected.
