LOW LEVEL DRUM ALARM warns of empty drums with a bright flashing LED and a loud beeper when liquid level is low.
Drum Low Level Alarm…
- Always on duty because the liquid suction tube is permanently attached to the alarm unit.
- It can go anywhere because its battery powered. No need for power outlets.
- Uninterruptible battery power lasts for years. Lithium battery included.
- Loud buzzer warble tone cuts through the loudest industrial noise.
- Rugged. Built for rough, wet and corrosive environments.
- Protects your pumps from debris with an intake screen.
- Adjustable depth using a thumbscrew.
- No metal parts to corrode.
LOW LIQUID LEVEL IN DRUMS monitored continuously with the Drumalarm™. Never run out again! Quick and easy to install – simply connect the battery and your liquid suction line and you’re ready to go!
MOUNTING STYLES
Various mounting styles available for any container such as Slip Cap, NPS drum thread, and Buttress thread. Of these, the slip-on cap is the most popular. It makes transfer to new drums so easy since you don’t have to screw it in, instead, it just drops over the bung.
On the other hand, threaded drum plug mounting is more secure and can seal the drum when noxious vapors are a problem. We also have low drum level alarms that mount in the 3/4″ bung when needed. These are known as the DLK series.
IMPORTANCE OF THE SUCTION PIPE
An attached suction pipe can’t be separated from the float switch, so an operator cannot “forget” to mount the level alarm. Its always monitoring the drum level. In addition, the rigid suction pipe is positioned so your pump is always drawing liquid from below the alarm point. At the same time, adjusting the depth to the bottom of a drum makes sure the maximum amount of liquid is extracted from your drums as the float switch leaves only millimeters of residue.
LOW DRUM LEVEL ALARM FEATURES
A removable screen built into the suction pipe guards your pumps from debris or crystalized chemical. check valve info The screen is 14×14 mesh. [1400µ] conversion chart
In addition, the bottom of the pipe is designed to easily accept an optional check valve for pumps that can lose their prime.
Uninterruptible battery power works despite power failures, can’t come unplugged. Because the Drum Alarms don’t use any power until alarming, the batteries last for years. Discussion on battery power.
Secure compression tubing connection eliminates air leakage into your feed lines.
Models with built-in flow indicator allows you to verify flowrate and inspect the solution. (applies to all models except DLK)
All low drum level alarms have a convenient depth adjustment with a simple thumbscrew. This allows the suction pipe to reach the bottom of the drum to extract that last liquid residue.
MODELS FOR ANY DRUM
Any container size – from 1 gallon bleach bottle to large tanks.
- DLA series incorporates a slip-on cap for fast drum transfers. Includes flowmeter. “X” designates no flowmeter. as in DLAX.
- DLP models have a 2″ NPS threaded plug instead of the slip cap. (the ‘X’ in DLPX means no flowmeter)
- DLB models have a buttress thread drum mount. (coarse – 1.5 threads per inch) Suffix ‘X’ designates no flowmeter as in DLBX.
- DLK series has no liquid suction pipe – its the level alarm part only. Mounts in the 3/4″ NPS thread.
- DP denotes the Liquid Suction pipe only for applications that need it.
Polypropylene is the standard material as it is perfect for 95% of applications. But, in addition, we also provide Kynar (PVDF) or 316 stainless steel drum level alarms for especially corrosive chemicals. The Kynar can be identified by the red color.

AC Power Cord
When plug-in AC power is preferred. Comes with 3-prong plug and 8-foot rubber-jacketed cord. Power convertor inside box.
[AC-NA] $59
Relay Output with Cord
Switches a relay to control pumps or solenoids etc. Silences & tests alarm. Piggyback plug makes hookup easy. Instructions here
[RLY-AC] $107
Silencing Button/Low Battery Alert
The Drumalarm already comes with a Button that tests the unit: this option adds a circuit that allows an operator to silence the buzzer while LED continues to flash. Resets automatically. Includes a low battery warning.

[W2] $275
Check Valve
Optional check valve for use with diaphragm pumps, it stops the liquid from draining out of the feeding pipe during transfer to a new container. Eliminates re-priming pump.
[CV-V or CV-E or CV-K]
WIFI communication.
Sends a message to your email or text message to your phone. Easy setup. No recurring fees. More info.

Weighted Pipe
Very dense chemicals like concentrated sulrfuric will cause the DLA drumalarms to float a bit in the drum. The addition of some steel shot in the pipe, sealed in place with resin adds 400g to the pipe which keeps it down in any liquid. (this option is only applicable for DLA models)
[WP-1] $24
