The IBC LOW LEVEL ALARM prevents running empty with a flashing LED and loud buzzer.
ILPX-PP IBC ALARM
Stop IBC tanks running empty…
- Always on duty because the liquid tube is permanently attached to the alarm unit.
- It can go anywere because it is battery powered. No need for power outlets.
- Uninterruptible battery power lasts for years. Lithium battery included.
- Loud warbling tone cuts through the loudest industrial noise.
- Rugged. Built for rough, wet and corrosive environments.
- Protects your pumps from debris with an intake screen.
- No wetted metal parts.
IBC TOTE TANK ALARM for low liquid level makes sure your process will never run out of chemicals. When liquid level is low, an IBC Alarm emits a very loud 103dB beeping sound, and flashing LED.
Uninterruptible battery power works through power failures, can’t come unplugged, or be defeated. And, because the Drum Alarms don’t use any power until alarming, the batteries last for years.
Float switch is protected inside a pipe. The float is immune to abuse from getting knocked around during transfer between containers. Years of reliable service.
Adjustable depth to fit any size tote tank. Simply loosen the thumb screw to slide pipes to correct depth toa maximum of 50 inches. (this is slightly deeper than a standard 330 gallon Mauser IBC tank which is 48.5″)
Feed tube is permanently attached to the float switch, so the level alarm is always on duty.
Removable filter screen on the suction pipe guards your pumps from debris or crystals. A replaceable check valve can be easily inserted in-line to prevent liquid from draining when transferring to new containers if needed.
Check valve if the IBC will be transferred to different tanks by lifting it up and out then a check valve is a good idea to stop backflow of the chemical. more info here
Push button to test the battery or to silence the alarm is included. Includes different field-settable behaviors like snooze alarm, tank filling modes. In the default mode the LED to continues to flash after the button is pressed to silence the buzzer. In the tank fill mode the LED and buzzer both turn off until the next high level event. (resets itself automatically) models have polypropylene floats, and polypropyelene piping so all wetted parts are polypropylene except the Acrylic flow indicator and glass ball. If Acrylic is incompatible there are models available without the flow indicator.
Different materials for different chemistries: polypropylene is standard. PVDF and stainless steel by request – contact us.
The products can have a liquid suction pipe included as part of the unit, or without. They can be made from polypropylene or PVDF (Kynar) wetted parts. The wetted parts are: the tubing connection fitting, the foot screen, the foot screen-mounting fittings, the suction pipe and the float switch, float switch mount.
Models without a suction pipe start with model number ILK.
Models with a liquid suction pipe start with ILP, (for polypropylene) or ILK. (for Kynar)
An optional flowmeter is only offered with polypropylene units.

WITH 3/4″ SUCTION PIPE
Wetted materials either polypropylene (ILPX-PF) or Kynar (ILPX-KK).
NO SUCTION PIPE
(level alarm only)
Choice of wetted materials, either polypropylene (ILK-PF) or Kynar model ILK-KK.
Relay Output with Cord
Switches a relay to control pumps or solenoids etc. Silences & tests alarm. Piggyback plug makes hookup easy. Instructions here
AC Power Cord
When plug-in AC power is preferred. Comes with 3-prong plug and 8-foot rubber-jacketed cord. Power convertor inside box.
A circuit board allows you to select N.C. or N.O. output to your PLC. Includes button to silence buzzer. Includes 10ft of communications cable. more info
Extra cable length over the standard length of 10 feet. Heavy 0.032″ jacket for superior durability. Four stranded conductors x 24 gage.
Wireless Transmitter & Receiver
Wireless transmitter is put inside the level alarm which sends a wireless signal to the receiver. Buzzer is in the receiver instead of at the tank. A 10A relay is available in the receiver.
Optional check valve for use with diaphragm pumps, it stops the liquid from draining out of the feeding pipe during transfer to a new container. Eliminates re-priming pump. Inserts in the suction pipe.
Tank Vent Cap
Vent cap installed on lid allows more air exchange for high flowrates. Screen keeps out debris. more info
Different Buzzer Tones
Different buzzer tones to audibly identify different units. Hear the different tone types here. [BZ-xx] $18
Buzzer Volume Control
Sometimes our buzzers are too loud. Snap-on “muffler” reduces the volume by 20 db and anywhere in between just by rotating the slots. [V-1] $7
Alternate Color LED
Default color is red. Amber, Blue, green, and white are options. [BL-x] $11
Slip-on IBC Lid
A regular IBC lid with the threads taken off so it slips on and doesn’t need to be screwed on for fast tank changes.
