The miniature timer relay will schedule devices to turn on and off according to the schedule you set. A smart phone is used as a convenient interface to set the schedule. After that, the phone is not needed to maintain the timing schedule. However it can be accessed, controlled and monitored remotely from any place where the phone has internet.
The time is automatically maintained accurately over existing WIFI, so no need to ever worry about time drift or daylight savings time. If the intenet connection is interrupted, the module has its own timer inside so it continues to function without WIFI connection.
The schedule can be programmed to turn on and off any number of times per day. It can keep complex schedules to accommodate shift work or weekends. And, the timer can be accessed and controlled remotely from any place where the user has internet connectivity, as long as the device is connected to WIFI.
The setup using a phone typically takes about 5 minutes.
