World’s Smallest Stainless Float Switch

MINIATURE FLOAT SWITCH

Gizmo introduces the world’s smallest stainless float switch.  Because its only 17 mm [0.7″] diameter, it easily fits into small ¾ inch drum openings.  It is so small that it allows us to protect it with our unique float guard.  This is a big deal for drums! Because other manufacturers of drum alarms are unable to do this, they provide the float switch “naked”, which exposes it to physical damage. Since stainless floats are hollow, anytime an operator has an “off” moment and bangs it against the drum threads, it destroys the float. Great for their sales – not great for you.

In addition, our new float has a specific gravity of only 0.60 which is much lighter than the standard 22 mm [⅞”] narrow floats.  This is light enough for any hydrocarbon. PAST PROBLEMS

In the past, we offered stainless float switches, but they are too large to protect with a guard.  To address this, we offered a BUNA float switch. However BUNA float switches are not always compatible with the solvent in the drum. So occasionally a polypropylene float switch would work.  And sometimes we used PVDF float, but they tend to be too heavy.  Sometimes there was no good solution.  This new miniature stainless float switch is the perfect solution for all solvent drums.
