The standard relay in most Gizmo Engineering products is rated for a 15A load.  For applications where this is not enough, this 30A relay can control high power devices.  The relay switches two phases independently for 240VAC installations.

This high-power relay is used with the T6 timer with its 6″x6″ enclsoure provides sufficient space for this relay. 

The relay option is added to the T6 timer with part number “RLY30”. (so T6-S2 + RLY-30A for example)

If you are using this with a motor, there is always a startup surge that is greater than the running current. To determine what a motor’s maximum current load is, you will need to know the “locked rotor” amps which should be on the motor nameplate. Otherwise you can measure it with a clamp-on amp-meter.  Or use the calculator on this page.
