For our our IS-DHK-SS drum alarm, the default drum mount for 3/4″NPT threads common on drums is a PVC compression type fitting.  For very aggressive chemicals that may attack the PVC, (like acetone) this stainless drum mount will hold up better.  

3/4″NPT threads screw into your drum bung.  There is a rubber gasket located under the nut that grips the pipe and provides a seal. The nut can be turned by hand to loosen the grip so the depth can be adjusted by hand.
