FLORIDA HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS

We have successfully applied for, and now have our Intrinsically Safe equipment listed on the State of Florida’s list of approved vendors of equipment for hazardous locations.

Given that our equipment is CSA certified to class 1, Div. 1, inclusion on the list is a given.  What we are proud of is the fact that we were able to get it on the list in only two days after our customer requested it.

The only other jurisdiction where we have encountered any regulatory authority is in Ontario, Canada where a customer asked for TSSA approval.  After pursuing this with the TSSA, they wrote back: “Typically [the applicable codes] require equipment and components to be “approved for their intended purpose”. You stated that your product is certified to a CSA standard, therefore no requirement for approval by TSSA”  -Tyler.
